Recover Deleted Notes for iPhone/iPad after iOS 8 Update

I took notes in my class using the app on my iPhone but last week after I updated my iPhone 5 to iOS 8 Beta and then went back to the notes, they are deleted and gone. I know it was on my iPhone because I looked over it after class. Is there any way to recover the notes deleted in iOS 8 update? I looked on my iCloud but there was nothing on there.

There are more other occasions to lose iPhone notes. But to recover deleted or lost notes, you generally have 3 methods.
No. 1: Recover Notes from iOS Devices without Backup
NO. 2: Recover Notes from iTunes Backup
No. 3: Recover Notes from iCloud Backup

Now let’s have a detailed look at each method step by step.

Part 1. Recover Deleted Notes from iPhone/iPad after iOS 8 Update

In any cases, as long as you didn’t use your device after notes lost, that is, the space is not overwritten by iOS system or other files, you can recover notes this way!
What you need is a piece of iPhone data recovery software. More and more iPhone data recovery software pours out, so the key to get your notes back is to choose reliable and good-reviewed recovery software. I used Tenoshare Data Recovery for testing and it proved to be a good one. So I will take it as the example to demonstrate how to recover lost notes from iPhone without backup.

Step 1: Download and install the free trial version at first to see whether notes are recoverable.
Note: In the trial version, you can preview the files. If the files are available to preview, then you can register to the full version to do the recovery. Free version can’t really recover files for you.

Step 2: Start to scan your iPhone after connected and run the program.

Step 3: When scan is done, then it’s the time to preview.

Step 4: After preview, you can start the recovery process by registering it with registration key.

Step 5: Specify a save path for your recovered notes when window pops up.

Part 2. Retrieve Notes Deleted after iOS 8 Update from iTunes Backup (free)

If you are fortunate and have a habit to backup iPhone before update, you can restore lost data from iTunes backup. This is free without software. Go to iTunes > Preference >Devices, you will see a list of backup files here. Choose the right one according to the data and device name, then scroll down to “Restore from Backup”.

Part 3. Recover Deleted Notes from iCloud Backup

Some users preferred to use iCloud backup to save their data. If so, you can restore iPhone from iCloud backup. Login to iCloud with your Apple ID and password, find your backup and click restore.

Note: If you failed to recover notes from iTunes or iCloud backup, you are suggested to use the first method. As you can see, iPhone data recovery software offers 3 methods to recover data. So if you can’t recover your notes with free methods, please try this iPhone data recovery software.

How to Recover Deleted Photos from iPhone 5s

In this hyper-connected world, we assume that any photos we take remains in storage for us to peruse in the future. But for iPhone, that is not the case. It is not easy to transfer files from iPhone to computer or other removable disk. Once you delete the photos off your iPhone inadvertently, they will pretty much disappear. And there are also other cases you may lose iPhone photos, such as iPhone failed to update, jailbreak or accidentally restore and so on.

There are ways to get back deleted pictures from iPhone, however. Here's how to.

According to whether you have backup files or not, we have different strategies.

Recover iPhone Photos from Device without Backup

In most cases, we don’t have the habit to backup our iPhone in times, regularly. So once the files are lost, it seems that you have lost them forever. Indeed, it is not the truth. You can still recover the files even you have no backup. Professional iPhone data recovery program can help you recover deleted or lost photos from iPhone without backup.

It is an application that is easy to use. So I will show the simple steps below briefly. You can perform it yourself following the on-screen guide absolutely.

Step 1: It is an application based on computer not iPhone, so you need to download the program to your computer then install it. Windows and Mac users have different packages respectively. Be careful at the download.

Step 2: Run it on your computer. Choose the first recovery option – “Recover Data from iOS Device”. Actually, it is the default option when you run the program. So you can click “Start” to go on.

Step 3: Scan your iPhone files. This will take a whle depending on the files size on your iPhone.

Step 4: When scan is done, you can preview the files on the program. You can see, the files are listed by categories. Click the items to preview.

Step 5: During the preview, you can tick what you need and when confirmed, click “Recover”.  Specify a save path for the recovered photos or your other needed files.

Retrieve Deleted Pictures from iTunes Backup

In terms of restoring lost photos from iTunes backup files, we have two different situations. One is free and one is to use an iTunes data extractor. Specifically, if you have iTunes backup files and iPhone is available on hand, you can try the free method. Go to iTunes >Preferences >Devices. Find the backup you need and click “Restore from Backup”.

Note: What you should know in the free way is that all your iPhone current data will be replaced by the files in the backup you restored from. In other words, you will lose all current data and you cannot selectively recover what you want.

The other option is to use an iTunes backup extractor. It is especially useful when you unfortunately got your iPhone stolen or lost/broken and it is not available. This iTunes data extractor can extract the files directly from iTunes backup without iPhone. As a matter of fact, it is a sub-application under iPhone data recovery. The second strategy of iPhone data recovery is “Recover Data from iTunes Backup File”.

Tell You How to Recover iPhone Contacts without iTunes/iCloud

Recover iPhone Contacts without iTunes and iCloud

How to Restore Contacts from iPhone without iTunes or iCloud Backup?

As in the case, if we didn't backup our iPhone regularly, then the chance to restore lost data from backup is less. The backup contains the data only since last backup, so the newly added info won’t be in the backup unless you make a new backup to replace the older one. Keep a good habit to backup iPhone contacts and other files to iTunes, iCloud, Gmail and more.

However, we are lucky to have a chance to get mistakenly deleted contacts, photos, text messages and more directly from

iPhone without iTunes, iCloud or other backup. What you need is a special data recovery tool for iPhone.

Now let’s learn how to use this tool step by step.

Step 1: You need to get the application from official site. Of course, it is also available on download sites like CNET and more. It is not al application running on iPhone, so you need to install it on your computer and then connect your iPhone with computer to run the program on your iPhone.

Step 2: When the program installed, initiated on your computer, connect your iPhone with it. It will prompt you if it didn’t detect your device. Choose the option “Recover Data from iOS Devices” after iPhone connected to it successfully. Click “Start”.

Step 3: Then it will start to scan your files on iPhone. This may take a few while. Take a cup of coffee.

Step 4: When scan is done, all the files will be displayed in categories. Now you can click any displayed item to preview. When confirmed contents to recover, tick it. You can also select all by press the button.

Can You Retrieve Deleted Notes on iPad

Can I Recover the Deleted Notes on iPad?

Hi, can you please help me out? Yesterday I came across a major issue with my iPad mini 2. I was about to delete some of the unwanted notes from my iPad in order to make free space. But without paying much intention, I mistakenly deleted all the notes that contained important ones. I am so annoyed and upset! I don’t even have backup for anything. Can I somehow recover the deleted notes from iPad?

Of course you can! When you delete notes from iPad mini, iPad Air, iPad 4, 3, 2 or other iOS devices, it is not actually deleted. It’s just the pointer to these files, which is removed from the file allocation table but the actual data remains unharmed yet inaccessible. So you can use iPhone Data Recovery application to scan through your iPad and recover all the files present in it.

Before you start the recovery process, let us go through the various reasons that might cause data loss from your iPad:

• Unknowingly Deleting Files: Data from iPad could be deleted because of some common human errors like deleting the pictures while just previewing them or while deleting some unwanted photos
• Accidental Factory Resetting: While doing something on your iPad, if you pressed “Factory reset” option mistakenly, you will lose all data and settings.
• Wrong Ejection: If you have improperly disconnected your iPad while its contents are open to the computer then the data on it will get corrupted, hence making files stored in it inaccessible
• Taking Pictures when the Battery Power is Low – Data will be lost if you take photos from your iPad when the battery is running out of power
Other Reasons: Sudden power failure or improper system shut down, virus attack, and file system error, water/oil damage, etc.

Fast Guide of iPad Note Recovery

You have two choices to recover your lost notes from iPad. One is to restore from iPad backup and the other is to recover from iPad directly without backup. Now I will take the direct recovery as the example to show you how to use this iPas note recovery.

1. Download the software – Tenorshare iPhone Data Recovery. You can try the free trial version at first. Install and run it on your computer.
For mac:

2. Connect your iPad with computer. Then run the data recovery program. Choose the option “Recover Data from iOS Device”.

3. If you hold an iPad 1, you need to enter DFU mode. Follow the steps given in the program to access DFU mode.

4. Scan your iPad through a communicating process.

5. Preview your files in the left of the program. Mark the ones that you want to recover, then click “Recover” button.

6. Specify a location for your recovered file. From this location, you can view your files directly. Go to check it.
